How astonishingly witty from the site spastic.
You came on this thread giving it the "look at me, I'm a mod" and everyone has basically called you a stupid cunt and now you're getting all defensive. Being a mod on here is akin with being a charity praefect at secondary school.
Basically do yourself a flavour and stop being a little wakner. If someone wants to start a thread on a footballer we are linked with, who the fuck are you to stop them.

Alex is spot on, one thread per player and manager works far better and generates much more discussion.
Maybe we could have one combined thread for arguments and point-scoring.

Which I notice you haven't posted on at all. Why not? Seeing as you seem so interested in how the topic is discussed?
The transfer thread gets about 25 posts per day, which is massively below average compared to almost any thread on the forum. On Saturday it got 5! This is during silly season, where new rumours come up hourly and transfers are arguably the prime area of discussion for any club. It couldn't be more clear that the current system just isn't generating any interesting content.
A thread that got past the policy, on Danny Ings, who we aren't even strongly linked with, got 75+ posts and counting and is an interesting discussion on a player. It simply works much better. If I want to discuss Danny Ings I know where to go.
Let's have one thread per player linked, and one per manager. I think each of these would provide a lively discussion, and we'd know where to go to read each other's opinions.
